(Filed Under wholesale Activewear News). On April 17, Gap Inc. added their newest brand, Athleta, to their online platform.
Athleta, which was acquired by Gap in September 2008, makes women’s active intimates including sports bras, yoga apparel and swimwear in sizes S through L, and 32 to 42 A through DD. Retail prices for most apparel runs in the approximate range of $30 to $100.
Online customers can now shop the Athleta brand alongside Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Piperlime with one shopping cart and a flat shipping rate of $7.
"Over the past 10 years, Athleta has evolved as a premier lifestyle brand with a strong following of loyal customers in the rapidly growing women’s activewear sector," Gap Inc. Direct’s president, Toby Lenk, said. "We wanted to make sure we brought Athleta’s authenticity and distinctive appeal to life on our ecommerce platform."
