(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Roma, the costume and lingrie company, just signed a license to produce Playboy costumes for women, for the U.S. and Canada.

“The partnership happened very quickly!” the company’s Alan Breeden told BODY. “We were initially discussing a partnership in early 2021 and wanted to make sure we would be able to supply the market for Halloween 2021. So we sped up the process and began collaborating in April. Our team is currently working rapidly to develop this exciting collection. Our 2021 collection will have a wide variety of costumes for women and we are open to other categories in 2022.”

“Our costumes will be sold to a wide variety of stores from specialty costume, adult, and fast fashion, to e-commerce websites and marketplaces. And of course, the official PlayboyShop.com. Absolutely, Yandy.com and the Lover’s stores are on board!” Playboy acquired Yandy at the end of 2019, and the Lover’s stores earlier this year.

Roma is still developing the collection. "We are aiming to present the line in July” said Breeden. “The collection has been designed with a lot of thought to it. Not only will we have costumes that are specifically for Halloween, but we will also have costumes that can be worn as lingerie and a fun outing.”

“Our vision was to design characters that relate to Playboy. We studied Playboy’s past magazine covers and developed a line that can best represent Playboy.” Roma expects to start with a collection of 20 costumes, “and of course the iconic bunny suit will be included. The different characters in the collection can be appropriate for different events. For example, we will be offering a Holiday Bunny that can fit in for Christmas.” Retail prices will range from $70 to $120.

This is not the first time Roma has worked with Playboy. “Yes, in 2011 we had a collection called Bridget by Roma. It was a collaboration Roma did with Bridget Marquardt, Hugh Hefner’s previous girlfriend from Girls Next Door,” noted Breeden.
