(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Andie, the direct to consumer swim and intimates brand founded in 2017, announced a new $18.5 million funding round, this on top of “more than $9 million in venture financing,” it had previously raised.
The company stated that the current round was “led by Marcy Venture Partners with participation from previous investors CityRock and Gaingels, among others.”
In November Andie opened its “first retail pop-up in West Palm Beach, Florida as part of the company’s evolving retail strategy to bridge the online and offline world.” It noted that “with the new injection of capital, the company will continue to expand its omnichannel distribution as well as its international presence, as demonstrated by its rocketing sales in Australia increasing 500% in the past year.”
The firm has also just introduced its first loungewear collection, “sourced and produced domestically in the U.S.,” from “Eco Bamboo, a sustainable fabric woven from 50% bamboo and 50% recycled polyester.” The collection retails from $45 to $65 and includes “four styles including The Classic Tee, The Scoop Tank, The Wide Leg Pant and The Short,” available in Black, Blush, Fern, Midnight and White in sizes 0-26 (XS-3XL). The intimates collection introduced in early 2021 includes bralettes ($28) and panties ($12) in the same size ranges. — NM
