(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). LondonEdge Ltd., the U.K. trade show group, has been placed into liquidation, which has meant the cancellation of its upcoming London (February 6 and 7), and Las Vegas (February 15 and 16) events.
The notifications appears on the company’s website.
Last week the show’s Carole Hunter and Debra Blood wrote to one exhibitor saying they were “immeasurably sorry” to have placed “LondonEdge Ltd. into liquidation. This decision has been a devastating one and one which the directors have tried everything to avoid. All options to find an alternative route have been considered but, ultimately, nothing offered a feasible solution. Whilst the team had high expectations for significant sales during January, the increasing impact of Omicron around the world, continued travel restrictions and zero confidence that things will change in the short term, have meant that, instead, the first few days of 2022 saw multiple cancellations and it quickly became clear that it would be impossible to deliver either of the February shows.”
Harlow Insolvency of London has been proposed to handle the bankruptcy.
Launched in 1999, the Edge shows had been held in a variety of venues. The February Vegas show had been scheduled for the Tuscany Suites.
