While many sleepwear suppliers are currently complaining that inventories are low or nonexistent due to a variety of manufacturing and shipping delays, Canada’s Claudel Lingerie took aggressive steps in recent months to ensure they would be ready for spring and summer deliveries.

“We significantly moved up our orders with suppliers in Asia — in some cases by months at a time — to anticipate the delays. The firm also recently introduced a made-in-Montreal collection of activewear and loungewear that has made it easier for the company to control production and shipping. “We source the fabrics in California and manufacture the loungewear and activewear in Montreal. This line offers “higher quality basic items in an expanding variety of colors and styles.” The group features fast replenishments and lower minimums.
