(Filed Under Fashion News). Secret Curves NY, the New York City-based lingerie brand of international bridal and evening wear company Mercury Designs Inc., has hired T. Joseph McCarty as the company’s senior design director.
According to Secret Curves, McCarty has nearly 20 years of intimate apparel design and product development experience, and most recently served as director of launch for Victoria’s Secret. Previously, he worked in the private label intimate apparel department for JCPenney.
He has also worked for Limited Too, Lane Bryant and Carole Hochman.
"We are extremely thrilled to have T. Joseph McCarty join Secret Curves NY,” Bipin Chandra, CEO of Secret Curves Lingerie, said in a statement. “His extensive design and product development background will be a significant and strategic contribution as Secret Curves NY expands globally.”
McCarty will oversee all product categories, which include padded, seamless, soft cup, underwire and wire-free bras in shades including white, brown, light blue, yellow, pink, lavender and nude.
According to the company, department store retailers including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Macy’s currently carry Secret Curves NY merchandise.
Founded in 1998, Secret Curves NY creates “upscale intimate apparel with distribution to fine retailers globally.”
