Zodiaque: New German Label Coming To NYC

(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Zodiaque Studios, a new Berlin-based design label focused on “fashion and contemporary culture” will exhibit at Curve New York for the first time in February 2023.

“Founded in 2021, we launched our first edition in 2022 in Paris with a silk underwear collection that quickly attracted international interest,” explained Emily Renk, the owner and designer who describes herself as “a young art curator” who “studied in Berlin, LA and London.”

“Combining contemporary design and well-being is the essence of Zodiaque Studios. Our mission is to explore the notion of everyday luxury while focusing on sensuality. In doing so, we want to give space to individuality and empower our wearers. By taking special care in the selection of our materials and considering their life cycle, we offer our customers an exceptional tactile experience. This new standard offers a holistic view of comfort, not only through fit, but also through durability and aesthetics.”

The 2023 collection includes a “signature silk line, as well as a new Lyocell version of that. These collections include the familiar Athena Bra with underwire, as well as a new interpretation of it. Both come with a luxurious thong version to match. The Venus set, consisting of a triangle bra and matching panties in diagonal wrap design, is also back in the collection. Manufactured in Europe from the highest quality fabrics, both the Lyocell and silk lines present contemporary luxurious comfort.”

“In addition, Zodiaque Studios will present its new, elegant swimwear and activewear collection,” continued Renk. “The swimwear includes two different bikini options and a backless bathing suit model in luxurious colors and textures. For the first time, Zodiaque Studios also presents an activewear set in two colors that characteristically reflects their commitment to materials and design.”

Retail prices for the label are expected to be about 120-180 € for swimwear and activewear; about 110-220 € for silk underwear; and about 80-180 € for the Lyocell collection.

The brand is wholesales in Paris and Berlin, and plans its own shop in the latter city in 2023, but is not in U.S. stores currently. It has been purchased by customers in Germany, Switzerland, France, Denmark, Italy, Spain and other parts of Europe according to Renk.

The North American strategy is to target “department stores, luxury boutiques and lingerie stores. It has to be a match of concept and audience to work for both parties, but we are extremely excited to meet U.S. and Canadian buyers and agents and see if we could be a fit for their store.”

Retailers should consider the brand “because of our amazing high-quality products in stunning colors, our range, and our awesome international clients. We have a great community and proof of concept in Europe so why not also in the U.S. and Canada!” Contact: +491716845410 / stella@zodiaquestudios.com / sales@zodiaquestudios.com. — NM
