(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Chaconia Intimates, a young intimate apparel company based in Brooklyn, New York, launched a revamped website in late April with a softer touch.
“I wanted a lighter feel,” explained Nesta Findlay, the company’s designer, owner and sole employee. “The [old site] had a lot of dark brown and fuchsia. Now, the appearance is cleaner and prettier, [with] a more girly and feminine appearance.”
In addition to sporting a new look, the site includes Chaconia’s full range of intimates, which currently totals at 14 styles in two collections: Island Girl and the newer Ibis, which Findlay launched in August 2008. It also includes a new sales tab, which buyers can click to get more information on a piece.
Chaconia’s sizes run from S through L at a wholesale range of $15 to $31, with styles including panties, thongs, soft bras, rompers, camisoles and baby dolls made from Poly Rayon spandex.
Findlay, a native Trinidadian, derives inspiration from her Caribbean background with vibrant shades of yellow, pink and green, which are prominent throughout.
Findlay’s current plans include adding prints (including palm trees) to her solid-colored lineup, as well as adding a robe and other new styles to the Ibis collection.
She is also working on getting her brand launched in boutiques nationwide, adding: “I got great feedback from stores at the [Curve] show.”
Nesta Findlay founded Chaconia Intimates in July 2007. For further information, e-mail Nesta@ChaconiaFashion.com.
