(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). La Perla lost €49,436,000 (about $54.5 million at today’s exchange rates) on revenue of €69,093,000 (about $76.2 million) in 2022, compared to a loss of €45,327,000 on revenue of €72,148,000 in 2021.

The company summarized: “In 2022, retail revenues decreased by 3.1%. Wholesale revenues decreased by 5.0% compared with the previous year.”

2022 retail sales in the company’s boutiques totaled €38,684,000 (about $42.7 million), up from €36,876,000 in 2021, while online sales fell to €16,249,000, down from €18,372,000 the year before. Wholesale sales for the brand were €7,278,000, down from €7,664,000 in 2021.

In the U.S. La Perla operates two boutiques in New York, one in Costa Mesa, California and one in Bal Harbour, Florida. The company lists on its website, three shops in France; six in Italy, of which four are “outlets;” two in London; two in Spain; five in Switzerland, of which one is an outlet; one in Portugal; two in the United Arab Emirates; 14 in China, of which three are outlets; three in Hong Kong; five in Hong Kong; two in Singapore; and one in Taiwan. ­— NM
