(Filed Under wholesale Accessories News). When Liz Flower asked herself “we adorn everything on our bodies, why aren’t we adorning our hips?” an idea for a new product and company came to life—Hidden Crystals.
Officially endorsed by Swarovski, Flower produces several product lines featuring detachable and interchangeable jewelry that hook on to panties in order to complement the trend of low-rise apparel and to serve as an alternative to having unsightly panty lines peeking out. “The jewelry attaches at each hip bone and just below the tail bone,” explains Flower. “We’re hidden until we want to show off.”
With products retailing at a range of $75 to $300 plus, Hidden Crystals manufactures and produces the following lines: Classic, Signature (this line is numbered and handmade by Flower and will have a limited edition release), Bridal, Promotional (made to order for each event and company), Bathing Suit and Holiday. The jewelry alone retails for $70.
At first, Flower is planning to launch with approximately five crystal colors that will attach to the panties. The panties will initially be offered in black, pink and white.
Currently, the company is in talks with a few top Los Angeles nightlife venues with regards to giveaways and promotions. “We are looking into this type of partnership for many reasons. First and foremost, however, we believe that our product directly reflects the type of high-end clientele that these establishments cater to,” said Katie Franklin, the company’s spokesperson. “We are focused on catering women who are alluring, confident, elegant and sophisticated—no matter their age bracket.” That being said, Hidden Crystals is trying to find a home in retailers including trendy LA boutique Kitson and Lisa Kline, as well as New York staples including Neiman Marcus and Henri Bendel.
The trademarked and patented company, which was founded in February 2007, has many other things in the works, including a revamped website which is planned to launch by July 1st. In addition, Hidden Crystals will soon expand its product offering even further to include bras.
