(Filed Under Fashion News). Neiman Marcus, Inc. has restructured its fashion offices at 1450 Broadway in Manhattan to give Kareen Mallet, Roopal Patel and Tommy Fazio responsibilities in all three of the company’s divisions: Neiman Marcus, Neiman Marcus Direct and Bergdorf Goodman.
According to the company, no lay-offs resulted in the reorganization, and there were no changes to its buying offices. The company decided to reorganize “in order to fully utilize the talents and strengths of Roopal, Tommy and Kareen across all brands and channels while providing each of them with new areas of growth and responsibility.”
Mallet, formally women’s ready to wear senior market editor for Neiman Marcus, will work under the same title for the three divisions. Her responsibilities will include lingerie, among other areas.
Patel, previously senior fashion director at Bergdorf’s, is now women’s fashion accessory senior market editor. Fazio, previously men’s fashion director at Bergdorf’s, is now men’s fashion director and senior market editor.
Patel and Mallet will report to Linda Fargo, senior vice president and fashion director of Bergdorf’s, while Fazio will report to Margaret Spaniolo, senior vice president and merchandising manager for Bergdorf’s.
The purpose of Neiman’s fashion office is “to scout and source new brands and vendors.” For more, call (212) 840-1200.
