(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Leonisa, a Colombian intimate apparel giant well known throughout Latin America, introduced an English version to its retail website on June 3rd. The site was formerly in Spanish only. The web address is www.leonisa.com.
With U.S. offices in Georgia and distribution centers in a total of 19 countries throughout the Americas, as well as in Portugal and Spain, the brand is sold on a wholesale basis and direct to consumers by the company. The introduction of the English website is evidence of the company's plan to significantly expand its presence in the U.S. In the past the company has exhibited at various international trade shows, including the Salon International de la Lingerie in Paris; Lyon Mode City in Lyon, France; the Miami swim show; and Fashion Week Mexico in Mexico City. This year, for the first time, the company exhibited at the Curve show in Las Vegas.
The company produces a wide variety of intimate apparel and related products ranging from bras (including mastectomy and maternity) running from a 32B to a 38D, panties, shape wear, pajamas, swimwear, tops, menswear, beauty and accessories, and intimates for teens. Of the merchandise for sale on the site, retail prices run from approximately $15 to $34 for bras, $9.99 to $20 for panties, $20 to $85 for shapewear, and $49 to $80 for swimwear.
