(Filed Under Fashion News). Quiksilver-operated Roxy has launched Athletix, an activewear line set to hit specialty stores this month.
Featuring 26 styles in sizes S through XL, the collection is available in a wide variety of colors including everything from blues to greens to pinks. It ranges in wholesale prices of $9 to $32 and retails between $19.60 and $68.
“This concept has been in the making for a while,” said Ashton Spatz of Roxy. “We surveyed more than 900 women from the ages of 12 to 24 asking which new category they would like to see from Roxy. Overwhelming, the response was for fitnesswear.”
While Roxy products normally target 18-year-old girls, with Athletix, the company believes it will appeal to the college-aged girl as well. “The nature of the Athletix product proves to ‘age up’ the brand,” said Spatz.
This spring/summer collection is Athletix’s first launch, and will be followed by the Roxy Athletix Holiday collection.
