UsableNet, a service that expands a company's website to mobile devices, created the campaign.
Victoria's Secret has a mobile database of customers who benefit from the campaign with the notifications of special promotions and new event information. The program allows shoppers to experience all the features of the company's website, but all through their cell phone. The phone features extend beyond shopping; customers may also check the delivery status of their purchase, buy gift cards and even send e-cards to the recipient.
The campaign is being promoted via text messages. Whenever the site is updated, shoppers receive a text with new offers. Additional perks include a zip code feature that allows customers to locate a Victoria's Secret store, as well as the quick click link to the customer service number to answer customer inquiries. The company is attempting to broaden their customer base, and their sales, with this new mobile ad campaign.
