Looking for higher recognition and faster growth, intimates and swimwear company XTG has recently tapped two notable European department stores: the British Selfrides and the Andorran Pyrénées. The brand will occupy its own "personalized corner" at both locations.
Along with the XTG brand, which offers men's swimwear and underwear, parent company Burmen also operates sister brand Lenita, which offers women's swimwear. Until now, the principal commercialization means of the swimwear and underwear brand was in national and international multi-brand establishments.
To continue its plans of heightening brand exposure, XTG will make an appearance in the American market at CurveNY in August. A spokesperson for the company confirmed "the main objective of XTG at the moment is to launch the brand in the American market and its franchise system."
XTG opened franchising as a new sales channel in June 2008, and is now planning the second launch in Gran Canaria and is closing an agreement for a franchise in Austria.
According to Denise von Wobeser, export manager, XTG currently operates two stores in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and will open a third in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, all in the Canary Islands.
