(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). Shapewear company Shapeez has entered the Canadian market through an agreement with ACS Intimate Apparel.
The Maryland-based company, which launched its debut product, The Unbelievabra, a year ago, is now distributed by ACS through all five Canadian territories. More than 50 boutiques are already on the brand's Canadian roster.
The new retail outlets add to Shapeez.com and numerous boutiques and catalogs in the U.S., including Sylene in Washington, D.C., and Night & Day in Andover and Newburyport, Mass.
Shapeez has also added a new product to its repertoire. The Shortee is the shortest version of the tank top-length, underwire Unbelievabra shaper; the front, which looks like a normal bra, is curved to eliminate ride-up, and the back is waist-length to provide smoothing (a patent-pending feature the company calls "Smooth Back" design). It's designed to shape the back and the breasts, but not the stomach.
"The result is a smooth appearance from every angle, even under the clingiest of T-shirts, dresses and thin sweaters! Just like the product it stems from," said company creator Staci Berner.
The Shortee is the company's third product, after the Unbelievabra and the Mini, a cropped version of the Unbelievabra that falls just above the stomach. All products are made of breathable cool-tex Lycra.
The Shortee retails for $75, $10 less than the original Unbelievabra, and is available in 25 sizes for cups A-E and in nude or black.
