(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Peru-based Dreamy, a lingerie and swimwear brand, has launched in the U.S. and is currently looking to expand into brick-and-mortar retailers and boutiques in the country — something they hope to achieve within the next couple of weeks. To launch the brand, the company held a party and fashion show on Saturday, July 25 at the Mondrian Hotel's Midnight Room in Arizona.
“We are in consignment discussions with several retailers and should be offered in some brick-and-mortar stores within the next week or two,” said Grant Harrison, sales director at the company. Currently, Dreamy is offered at six e-tailers including BikiniDeals.com, Linay.com, LadyThingers.com, Yandy.com and the new VenusMystique.com, which has not yet launched.
Dreamy's lingerie silhouettes include lace trim boyshorts, satin strap camis, wide side cotton panty, stretch lace babydolls, thongs and more, with items wholesaling between $2.50 and $18. Swimwear silhouettes include bikini tops and bottoms, as well as monokinis at a wholesale range of $16 to $38.
To accommodate the U.S. market, Dreamy has adjusted its sizing to include S through 3X. “We feel that plus size is an underserved segment, and we look to benefit from and cater to that unique niche,” said Harrison.
According to Harrison, the crowd attending the launch party was mostly comprised of buyers and boutique owners who showed interest in the pieces. Guests also included representatives from Phoenix Fashion Week, FashionPhoenix.com, local TV station ABC 15, the Arizona Republic newspaper, and 944 Magazine.
Donnatella McCurdy of DumbBlondBoutique.com has just added Dreamy's products to her inventory. “I'm always looking for new lines that offer a great drop shipping program, which Dreamy does offer and styles that help make my boutique stand out from others,” she said. “When I received an introduction from Grant about a month ago, I got excited with what the line had to offer. I found Dreamy's line to be sexy, but not too sexy that the average woman would not feel comfortable in. The line offers a great mix of fun, sassy and sexy styles. I love the swimwear line too, and what is to come in the 2010 line! Although they are a new addition to the Dumb Blonde Boutique store, I see a great relationship growing with Dreamy.”
