(Filed Under Fashion News). Wendy Pierce, owner of A Stellar Collection, a North Carolina-based retailer that offered sleepwear, loungewear and fragrances to its customers, has closed down the store.

Luckily, the news of the store's closing is not related to the current economic status of the U.S., "I had, actually, planned this closing," said Pierce. "I decided to retire when I reached the age of 60, which was last October 15th."

A Stellar Collection officially closed its doors in March 2008; Pierce had been in business for seven years. There is the possibility of Pierce jumping out of retirement and getting down to business she admits. "I haven't given up the idea of staying in retail via internet," said Pierce. "We'll see if I flunk retirement or not!"
