(Filed Under wholesale Accessories News). Shibue Couture has revamped the adhesive used in its signature strapless G-string to keep it permanently heat-sealed to the panty, called Shibue Strapless Panty By Shibue Couture Inc. The new design will be available at the end of this month, and will be seen in stores this November. It will run in sizes XS, SM and ML.
Launched in February 2008, the original Shibue Couture line consisted of a strapless G-string designed to do away with panty lines since it included no material around the hips and back. The only problem with it, said Kari Loftin with the company, was that "each adhesive strip was for one time use, so anytime you had to go to the bathroom or reposition the panty you had to put a new adhesive on. We remedied this by using the reusable adhesive, so it will stick repeatedly to the body.
"The new adhesive is washable and reusable. [It] regenerates itself so it sticks repeatedly to the skin. The panties are available in nude and black and are laser cut to avoid fraying."
Another improvement on the original product, said Loftin, is the price point; while the original Shibue retailed for $28, the company hopes to keep this product at $15. Although prices have not been finalized as of yet, Loftin said: "We have been able to get down our pricing significantly."
Stores carrying Shibue Couture include La Petite Coquette in New York City, Pleasures in Huntsville, AL, and Cindie's locations across Texas. For further information, e-mail Kari@ShibueCouture.com.
