(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). At this February's CurveNY show, new brand La Fée Verte burst into the market with a brightly-colored, elaborate assortment of French-inspired lingerie and loungewear. But while the company reported that the spring 2010 collection still “embodies a French chic aesthetic,” it is taking it in a more subtle approach to to its design, which it described as “natural, sexy, beautiful and simple while keeping a modern twist on styling.” Styles wholesale for $10 to $90 and retail for $20 to $180, with sizes running from 32 to 36, A through D, and S through L.
Adam Sakara, designer for the company, was quick to point out that the brand is as fashion forward and innovative as ever this season. “The color palette [of the line] is a little more subdued, however [it] maintains the La Fée Verte signature unique twist on color combinations.”
Seen throughout is lingerie in “luxurious” silk programs and kimonos with built-in shorts for a “romper/jumpsuit effect”, said Sakara. Also included are loungewear pieces designs to also be worn as ready-to-wear, such as “cute” rompers with wooden button detailing; knit slip dresses, lace tanks and sweaters; cropped dolman T-shirts with silk trims; and track shorts.
Retailers carrying La Fee Verte include Journelle and La Petite Coquette in New York City; Bits of Lace in Charleston, SC; Lilibeas in West Reading, PA; and Top Drawer Lingerie in Houston, Tex. For further information, call (514) 737-1991.
