(NYSE: LTD) reported a comparable store sales increase of 8 percent for the five weeks ended March 31, 2012, compared to the five weeks ended April 2, 2011. The company reported net sales of $840.9 million for the five weeks ended March 31, 2012, compared to net sales of $863.0 million last year.
The company reported a comparable store sales increase of 8 percent for the nine weeks ended March 31, 2012, compared to the nine weeks ended April 2, 2011. The company reported net sales of $1.495 billion for the nine weeks ended March 31, 2012, compared to sales of $1.534 billion last year.
March 2011 and 2011 year-to-date sales included $84.3 million and $154.8 million attributable to the third party apparel sourcing business, which was sold in November 2011.
