NEW YORK, April 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilhelmina International Inc. is excited to announce today’s launch of The Wilhelmina 30+ Model Search to find a woman 30 and over who has it all: confidence, beauty, and the ability to inspire other women to feel the same way. The winner of the contest will be awarded a contract with Wilhelmina Models, a photo shoot with O, The Oprah Magazine, a three day all-expense paid trip to New York City to participate in the finals and fashion show, $1,000 Miraclesuit swim wardrobe and a $1,000 gift card from Macy’s. Do you want to inspire other women to embrace the beauty and wisdom that comes with every age? If so, we want to meet you! The Wilhelmina 30+ Model Search is an open call nationwide for women who love the way they look and feel. As part of the model search process, contestants will be required to upload a photo and explain why they feel they should win a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models and represent women 30+ across the country. All contestants will be able to upload their submissions online at www.wilhelminamodelsearch.com. The contest kicks off April 10th, 2012 and entries can be submitted through May 23rd. Open on-site casting calls will be held at Macy’s locations in Miami, Costa Mesa, and Chicago, and in New York City at Wilhelmina’s offices.
Between June 2nd and June 5th, the public will be invited to vote for their favorite "Semifinalist" on www.wilhelminamodelsearch.com. The contestant with the most votes at the end of the public voting period and nine other finalists selected by the judges will win a trip to NYC and walk a real runway at an exclusive finals event. An expert panel of judges including the Creative Director of O, The Oprah Magazine, Adam Glassman, supermodel Roshumba Williams, VP of Women’s at Wilhelmina Models, Stacey Fuller, and Bruce Waldman, President of Miraclesuit Public Relations will deliberate following the photo shoot to choose The Wilhelmina 30+ Model Search grand prizewinner who will be revealed at the end of the finals event.
The official sponsors of the Wilhelmina 30+ Model Search 2012 are Miraclesuit® swim and Macy’s. All model search registrants will receive a $20 savings pass to put toward a Miraclesuit® swim purchase at Macy’s.
