On April 1st, Denice Bezerra's dream came true-she opened SAVI Boutique, a retail store for high quality, fashionable lingerie and accessories manufactured in Brazil.

For several years, Bezerra operated Made in Brazil Wear, an importer and wholesale distributor for Brazilian apparel and accessories. But after realizing that she too could be just as successful as her retail customers, Bezerra opened SAVI with the hopes to "cater to women who enjoy casual sleepwear and sophisticated lingerie."
Opening a retail shop was a no-brainer for Bezerra-she had industry contacts, understood what customers wanted, so the next step was to gather feedback from customers and open a brick and mortar that gave exactly what they wanted.

"Our main objective," Bezerra says, "is to tend to our client's fashion needs by bringing to the Canadian market innovative Brazilian products."

Within the walls of the Canadian-based boutique, shoppers will discover Recco Lingerie, a glamorous and sophisticated Brazilian-based lingerie company, and Tab, a Canadian-based manufacturer for body shapers and sports bras.

SAVI boutique ensures that all customers can find what they need-and desire-with its large selection of crepe charmouse nightgowns with tule and lacework, microfiber nightgowns with French lace and bridal and maternity pieces.

The boutique is nestled in Tawassen shopping center, which works to the stores advantage because "there aren't too many shops like us," said Bezerra. "because we're 45 minutes away from Vancouver-we're a little town in a big town."

The "little town" hosts fashion shows and participates in mall events to attract more customers to hopefully transform into a "big town".

In encompassing a true collection of fashion-forward merchandise, SAVI also offers Piccadilly Shoes, Werner Shoes and It Beach, giving an unapologetic collection of stylish apparel.

The new shop is open-minded to bringing new brands, especially cute and sophisticated panties, into the store. But, Bezerra wants to maintain its Brazil manufacturers that offer "beautiful, quality pieces."
