Swiss hosiery brand, Fogal, celebrated the opening of its new U.S. flagship store in New York on September 13, 2007. The new store, located at 611 Madison Avenue at 58th Street, joins two other U.S. locations. Of the company's two other locations in the U.S., one is on Madison Avenue and the other is in Chicago at 900 North Michigan Avenue.
The consul general of Switzerland, Christoph Bubb, and the owner of Fogal, Balthasar Meir, were each present opening night.
Founded more than 80 years ago, Fogal has been a key player in the U.S. market for the past 25 years. This winter season, Fogal is ushering a look of casual elegance into its stores. The brand has redefined the term luxury with items that are cozy, comfortable and classic. Fabrics will include cashmere and wool in subtle grey, black and brown tones. For a louder look, Fogal will also offer up to 70 vibrant colors such as lemon-yellow and grass-green and precious stone colors such as emerald and amethyst.
