Betsey Dougherty Henson: Ellie’s Fine Lingerie is an upscale lingerie store that specializes in bra fit. In a modern, Victorian boudiour atmosphere, clients browse quality designer lingerie, sleepwear, shapewear, swimwear, and basic bras and panties. Located in Warehouse Row, a destination shopping center in downtown Chattanooga, Ellie’s is decorated to showcase the unique details of the warehouse. Clients are invited to be professionally fit for a bra, as well as find the perfect lingerie to feel beautiful and confident. Excellent customer service is a priority for Ellie’s, as we aim to help every woman feel wonderful about herself.

Ted: What makes your store special?

Betsey: Our customers love to shop at Ellie’s because of our extensive range of sizes available in bras that was previously unavailable in the Chattanooga area. Our bras are available bands 28-46 and cups A-K. Our customer services and knowledge of our products can’t be beat!

Ted: What do you look for in a brand?

Betsey: When selecting a brand for Ellie’s, we look at first the quality of the product. We strive to have quality bras and lingerie at all price points. Our customers love Marie Jo, Simone Perele, Panache, Natori, Affinitas, Elle MacPherson, Elomi, Honeydew Intimates, and Blush Lingerie. We also like to carry local products, like Good Fortune Soap candles and lotions and Royal Highnies 400-thread count boxers and loungewear.

Ted: What are the latest trends?

Betsey: Our most popular items are sexy and comfortable chemises and loungewear. Also during the summer, we carry several styles of bra-sized swimwear that our clients love. Our clients love to be able to purchase cute and sexy bras that fit properly.

Ted: Describe your price points and size ranges.

Betsey: Our price points range for $20 to $150, and our sizes range from 28-46 bands, A-K cups, and XS-XXXL lingerie and panties.
Our customers’ sizes vary. Typically our most common bra sizes are 34C, 32D, 36E, 32F and 34F.

Ted: What does the average customer spend per visit to your store?

Betsey: Most of our customers spend roughly $100-150 and leave with several items that fit great!

Ted: Describe your customer.

Betsey: Our customers are usually ladies between the ages of 25-60, but we have shoppers both older and younger! We host a Men’s Night event every December to invite gentlemen to casually shop for a special holiday gift for their special lady.

Betsey: Ellie’s Fine Lingerie strives to make women feel comfortable with their body. That’s why it’s our passion to professionally fit quality bras. We want women to feel comfortable talking to us about their needs with their intimate apparel. We aim for excellent customer service. Ellie’s is also available to host after hours parties for lingerie showers, girls’ night out, or special shopping events for ladies’ groups in our area. It’s always a fun time to privately shop with your friends!
