Michelly Intimates, an online, family owned and operated business, is dedicated solely to the purpose of supplying customers with the finest intimate wear directly imported from Colombia, South America.

Launched in 2006, Michelly Intimates offers something for everyone: sexy lingerie, bras, panties, shapewear, mundo unico underwear for men and bra straps with Swarovski crystals. A few brands on the site include Bellissima costumes, lorena three-pack panties, Intimoda corsets and Armonia swimwear.

According to Michelly Intimates president Marjoire Michelly, the online boutique appeals to four types of customers: women aged 25 to 55 to like to pamper themselves and enjoy quality underwear, full figured women who like to look great even though they are overweight, gay and straight men who shop for themselves as well as significant others, and local Florida adult shops.

"I even give personalized attention to my local customers," said Michelly. "I do personal at home fittings."

To get the word out about her amazing online shop, Michelly distributes business cards at local (Broward County, Florida) network events, restaurants, beauty salons, government offices and major gatherings.

After years and years of working in the industry, most retailers have noticed trends toward lacy and fancy lingerie versus basic T-shirt bras. But Michelly reports that for her, it's the other way around.

"Four years ago, women were buying a lot of lacy, embroidered, ultra-feminine garments, but now they want seamless, and soft materials such as microfiber," said Michelly.

"Perhaps due to globalization, women are becoming more informed about trends, fabrics, availability of colors, etc. Before, they just took for granted what major department stores and Victoria's Secret offered because there was not much else," she said.

In the near future, Michelly Intimates will launch Michelly Shapewear, a full line of Post Surgery Compression Wear designed exclusively by Michelly Intimates and available only at select spas and Plastic/Cosmetic Surgery centers. The new compression shapewear-made of powernet/cotton-will be available this fall season.
