Etam Développement 2016 Sales Match 2015

2016 sales at Etam Développement, the France-based intimates retailer, dropped by 0.3% to 1.29 billion euros (about $1.38 billion at current exchange rates).


According to a company release, “In Q4 2016, the Group net sales amounted to €367.9 million, including a negative currency effect of €5.1 million mainly due to the depreciation of the yuan against euro. Net sales increased by 5.9 % compared to the fourth quarter of 2015. Like-for-like and at constant exchange rates, net sales increased by 5 %.”


“Over the full year to 31 December 2016, the Group’s net sales amounted to €1,292.1 million, including a negative currency effect of €19.7 million mainly due to the depreciation of the yuan against euro. Net sales were nearly stable on a real basis. They were down 1% like-for-like and at constant exchange rates compared to 2015.”


According to the company, at the end of 2016 it had 3,906 points of sales, including 988 in Europe, 2,596 in China and 322 international franchises.
