Aerie sales jumped 24.9% to $535.822 million in the second quarter, up from $429.084 million in the three months ended August 2, 2025. In the first half, the intimate apparel division of American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) sales surged 28.9% to $1.016648 billion from $788.872 million in fiscal 2025. AEO CEO Jay Schottenstein pointed to the “broad-based momentum of Aerie and Offline,” the company’s activewear label that the firm often includes as part of Aerie in certain discussions. The firm also revealed that “Aerie comparable sales grew 19%” in the second quarter. As of August 1, 2026 there were 335 Aerie and Offline stores in operation.

In Q2, parent company AEO, which also offers a variety of other apparel, reported combined net income of $133.685 million on sales of $1.380 billion compared to net income of $76.813 million on sales of $1.284 billion in the same period last year.

AEO reported that it received “tariff refunds of $196 million, including interest,” in the second quarter, and that “the net operating income benefit of tariff refunds was $161 million for the second quarter 2026. The company has received substantially all of the tariff refunds for which it submitted refund claims.”

AEO as a whole is now expecting comparable sales to increase “mid single digits” over last year, with operating income of “$540 million to $550 million” for all of fiscal 2026.
