Historic Dor-ne Corset Shoppe, one of the oldest bra stores in the United States, is being offered for sale by the family that currently owns it. The business was founded 93 years ago in Washington, DC in 1932. Back in 2001 the shop made a short move to its current location at 8126 Georgia Avenue in downtown  Silver Spring, MD. It remains one of the capitol-area’s leading bra shops, offering a large array of premium brands. According to online estimates, average household income in this upscale town is approximately $132,219.

The large, 1928 square foot location is equipped with four fitting rooms, a large product display area, ample storage and an array of dedicated nearby parking spots. A wide range of undergarments are offered including bras, girdles, corsets, shapewear and lingerie.

“We specialize in hard-to-fit sizes, but no matter what your size or requirements, our expert fitters and seamstress will have you in and out in an undergarment you’ll be bragging about,” explained Anatoly Pokrashevsky who owns the store with his wife Stella. “We carry only the  finest  brands,  and can  alter  most of our selection so it’s the perfect fit.” To accomplish in-house alterations, the shop operates two sewing machines.”
