Damages Claim Against Calida

On the Calida Swiss website, an elastic Bustier, 29.90 Swiss francs (about $36.25); and Tank Top, 37.90 Swiss francs (about $45.96).

Recently the Tribunal de Commerce de Paris partially upheld “at first instance the damages claims brought by the purchaser of Lafuma Mobilier,” an outdoor furniture brand, against Calida Group. The  lingerie maker had acquired  Lafuma Mobilier in 2013 and then sold it to Peugeot Frères Industrie in 2024.

“Calida Group has been ordered to pay damages of approximately EUR 6.4 million” (about $7.2 million at current exchange rates), according to the company. “The claim sought payment of EUR 39 million” (about $43.8 million). “The judgment is not final and may be appealed to the next instance.” Calida added that it “takes note of the judgment and, following a detailed review of the decision, will assess whether to pursue legal remedies. The damages payment resulting from the judgment will negatively impact the company’s result by approximately the same amount.”

For 2025 the company reported net earnings of 10.988 million Swiss francs (about $14.3 million) on sales of 215.894 million Swiss francs (about $280.6 million), compared to a net profit of 14.905 million Swiss francs (about $19.4 million) on sales of 231.042 million Swiss francs (about $300.3 million) in 2024.
