Sexy “Event” In Fall 2027

There will be a sexy-intimates trade “event” next fall, but don’t call it a show. Altitude Intimates has announced the creation of Altitude Market, a “two-day fall buying event designed to give intimate apparel and adult retail professionals a focused opportunity to conduct business during the second half of the year.” It will be held September 16–17, 2027, at Paris Las Vegas.
The show owners emphasized, repeatedly in the press release, that the event “is not a second edition of the annual Altitude Intimates show and will feature a distinctly different format.” Why is the distinction so important? Altitude was founded by an important group of lingerie producers a decade ago, who rebelled from continuing to participate in the now defunct International Lingerie Show (ILS), which always offered two shows, one early in the year, one in the late summer or early fall. One of the most prominent complaints about the ILS among lingerie makers at the time, was that a second half show was not needed and was a burdensome extra expense.
Times have clearly changed. The Altitude show’s board of managers now explains, “over the past several years, members of the industry have asked Altitude to create an additional buying opportunity later in the year. We have always been protective of what makes the March show special, and Altitude Market is not intended to duplicate it. It is designed to meet a different need—a focused fall marketplace where qualified buyers and suppliers can connect, review new products and conduct business efficiently.” The release concluded, Altitude Market will provide “companies that need a second-half buying opportunity with a focused and efficient way to connect.”
