Marc Dambremez has been named the new CEO of Van de Velde, the Belgian company that owns the Primadonna, Marie Jo, Sarda, Rigby & Peller and Lincherie brands. He will take over the post effective August 31, at that time replacing Karel Verlinde, who has chosen to leave the organization after seven years.
Dambremez joins Van de Velde from Levi Strauss & Co., “where he held leadership positions such as managing director Asia Pacific, managing director retail outlets EMEA and VP, global retail, real estate & franchise. With more than 15 years of international experience in the fashion industry, Marc brings deep expertise in brand-led growth, international retail, and consumer engagement. He will be tasked with accelerating Van de Velde’s next phase of growth while preserving its longstanding heritage of craftsmanship and quality.” In making the announcement, Van de Velde noted it currently works with “3,600 independent lingerie boutiques worldwide,” in addition to its own retail stores under the Rigby & Peller and Lincherie names.
