Journelle Brings Elegant Underpinnings To South Beach

Multibrand lingerie store Journelle, signed a lease for 2,500 square feet on the ground floor of 11 11 Lincoln Road in Miami's South Beach.

Hailed as "a study in form and structure", 11 11 Lincoln Road was designed by the renowned Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, and brings together retail, residential and creative commercial space under one roof. The second East Coast store is set to open in November 2009.

"We are extremely excited to continue our growth," said CEO Claire Chambers, "Miami Beach is an exceptional location that will allow us to bring the Journelle experience to even more women who are sophisticated, chic and international."

Journelle's Miami store will have the same "residential feel" of its New York store, with custom-made fixtures, fabric paneling and spacious fitting rooms. Chambers also said the Miami store will carry the collection of "everyday luxury" lingerie brands, with more sleep and loungewear selections to suit the tropical location.

Other tenants at the South Beach location include Taschen, MAC Pro, Genius Jones and Adidas.

The company's first store opened in New York's Flatiron district in December 2007, and currently carries lingerie from over fifty brands, including Myla, Mimi Holliday, Elle Macpherson, and Huit.
